From Marrakech to the dunes of Chegaga (desert) and Agadir (sea)

This trip is an invitation to experience Morocco with all your senses:
It begins in vibrant Marrakech, where colours, scents and the lively hustle and bustle of the medina immediately captivate you. From there, the route leads over the Atlas Mountains to the south – past palm oases, ancient kasbahs and the vastness of the Draa Valley.

However, the heartbeat of the journey lies in the Sahara. Days filled with silence, vastness and rhythm: step by step with the caravan, accompanied by the scent of tea, the rustling of dromedaries and the feeling of wandering in another time. Nights under an endless starry sky, the crackling of the fire, the music of the nomads – moments that touch you deeply and linger long in the memory.
When the dunes of Chegaga glow in the evening light, you can feel how big and yet how peaceful the world can be.

Finally, the Atlantic Ocean awaits: Agadir offers lightness, sea breezes and the soothing feeling of diving back into the vastness of the water after days in the desert. Beach walks, fresh fish, gentle waves – a perfect end to your holiday.

• 6 days of camel trekking with full board
• Costs for cook, camel guide and dromedaries for luggage transport, as well as equipment (tents, mats, cooking utensils, etc.)
• 1 night in a bivouac in Chegaga with half board
• 1 night in a hotel with half board
• 2 nights in a riad in Essaouira with breakfast
• 1 night's accommodation in a riad in Marrakesh with breakfast
• Transfer from and to the airport in Marrakesh

Other (subject to change):

• Single room supplement in a riad or hotel: 25 euros per night.
• Extension days in a single room with breakfast: €55 per person; in a double room with breakfast: €30 per person.
• Transfer from or to the airport not on the day of arrival or departure: 20 euros per trip
• Cost of own riding dromedary: €150 for the desert trekking tour

Travel description:

Day 1: Marrakech
Pick‑up at Marrakech Airport and transfer to a comfortable riad in the Medina. The famous Djama el Fna square is within walking distance. We provide tips for your first explorations.

Day 2: Marrakech
Today, a guided tour of the city's sights is on the agenda. You will explore the medina of Marrakesh on foot (approx. 4 hours).

Day 3: Marrakech – Zagora
Scenic drive over the Tizi’n Tichka Pass (2260 m) into southern Morocco. Through the fertile Draa Valley with its palm groves and traditional kasbahs. Overnight in a charming hotel in the palm oasis of Zagora.

Day 4: Zagora – M'Hamid
Visit of Tamegroute (Koranic library & pottery). Continue to M’Hamid for lunch in a private garden. Meet your camel team and begin the desert trek. First night in a desert camp.

Day 5: M'Hamid – Sidi Naji
Morning departure towards Sidi Naji. Walk through small oases and stony desert. Lunch in the shade, then continue to the dunes of Sidi Naji. Evening tea, dinner, and night under the stars.

Day 6: Sidi Naji – Erg Ezahar
Trek across the Hamada plateau towards the impressive dunes of Erg Ezahar. Lunch under tamarisk trees. Camp at the foot of the dunes.

Day 7: From Erg Ezahar to the dunes of Bougarn
Another day in the rhythm of the desert: breakfast, loading the camels, walking, lunch break, arrival at the Bougarn dunes. Dinner and overnight in the silence of the Sahara.

Day 8: Dunes of Bougarn – Dunes of Chegaga
Cross Oued Laatache and reach the “Oasis Sacrée” for lunch. In the afternoon arrival at the Chegaga dunes. Opportunity to climb the dunes for a breathtaking sunset. Overnight in a comfortable desert camp.

Day 9: Chegaga Dunes
Final day of desert trekking. Time to climb viewpoints, enjoy the vast landscapes, and reflect on your desert experience.

Day 10: Chegaga – Foum Zguid
Farewell to the camels and guides. Off‑road drive (approx. 90 km) to Foum Zguid. Overnight in a traditional-style hotel with swimming pool.

Day 11: Foum Zguid – Agadir
Drive via Tazenakht (famous for Berber carpets) and Taliouine (saffron region) to the Atlantic coast. Dinner in Agadir with freshly prepared seafood.

Day 12: Agadir
Relaxation day by the sea. Enjoy long beach walks, the ocean breeze, and a refreshing swim in the Atlantic.

Day 13: Agadir – Marrakech
In the late morning, we will return to Marrakesh. There, you can enjoy the colourful hustle and bustle once again, purchase small souvenirs or handicrafts, or seek refuge on the terrace of our riad to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Transfer to Marrakech Airport approximately two hours before your flight.
